Skateboard Competitions & Demos

Skaters of all levels are invited to throw down their best tricks in a series of live competitions. Compete for cash and prizes, or come watch some of the area’s most talented riders show how it’s done during featured demo sessions.

Whether you’re on the board or on the sidelines, the energy is unmatched. Be ready for skateboard competitions between Music performances!

The skatepark is open to all boarders to practice! Tentative Skateboard competitions: (subject to change):

4:30 – 5:00pm

Live Music Lineup

The stage heats up with performances from 2 standout local Twin Cities bands well known for their connection to youth music scene and success! Enjoy live music between skateboard contests!

Saturday Bands Lineup:

• 4:00-5:15 PM (with break in middle) – “KVSKET”  Instagram    Across kvsket’s Patiently Awaiting Your Arrival album (released in February 2025), the band dabbles with their metal sound pallet, bouncing in and out of combining heavy metal and punk rock. “1312” sprinkles in something doomy right before its close and utilizes more brutal vocals throughout to spice things up, keeping things weighted. A selection of food trucks will be set up nearby, offering plenty of options to fuel your afternoon and evening. Grab a bite and enjoy the atmosphere of the festival grounds while taking in the music and skate action.

Location & Details

The Zombie Garage Zone takes place at the Burnsville Lions Skate Park, part of the Burnsville Festival grounds. This is a free and open event for all ages, and a highlight of our Saturday schedule.

Join us for this high-impact feature happening the weekend after Labor Day.
